Aveda inner light concealer

Hello Beautiful,

This weeks beauty product review is on Aveda's inner light concealer. I have several concealer's in my makeup collection and I'm finding myself reaching for this concealer almost every day. This light weight creamy concealer camouflages darkness, hides under eye puffiness and adds radiance with infused reflective minerals. It's a multifunctional concealer not only does it hide imperfections but it also fills in fine lines, and you can use it on eyelids and lips for extra long wear for your lipstick and eyeshadow. The inner light concealer is full coverage and dries quickly once applied and blended leaving a semi-matte finish. It's long-wearing, crease resistant and great for my sensitive eyes and skin that is why it's one of my favorite concealers. I've found that when I wear this concealer and set it with powder I can skip liquid foundation. It alone balances out my completion and comes with a doe foot applicator for precise application. It comes in 6 different shades making it great for all ethnicities. This product has been tested by Ophthalmologists, is aroma-free and non-acnegenic.

Six shades are:

Fair skin
*Birch
*Balsa

 Medium Skin
*Hazelnut
*Bamboo

Deep skin
*Pecan
*Nutmeg

I recommend the Aveda inner light concealer to anyone because it's one of my most highly used concealer's in my makeup collection because of all it's wonderful benefits. This concealer is $18.00 and can be purchased at Aveda.com or at your nearest Aveda store. This product is environmentally friendly and like all of Aveda's products it's made from natural sources.

Aveda Petal Essence Eye Definer

Hi Beautiful,

This weeks beauty product review is on Aveda's Petal Essence Eye Definer. I'm going to single out one of the 6 shades #910 Sepia which is a matte taupe. This eye definer is unique because you can use it on your eyes as an eyeliner or to fill in your eyebrows. The Petal Essence Eye Definer's are made from Jasmine petals and Geranium leaves, the flower waxes make this product creamy, blendable, and smooth for easy application. The eye definer pencils are highly pigmented, stays true to color so you can line, define, accent or shade. The formula of the eye definer goes on smoothly while still respecting the delicate skin around the eye. When using these eye definer's smudge a thin line softly along the eye's for a subtle effect. If your wanting more intensity or the illusion of thicker lashes layer the eye's with more product. While applying the eye definer pencil make sure it's sharp and apply it before your favorite eye color for longer wear.

The six shades:

*Sepia-medium matte taupe
*Cacao-deep matte chocolate brown
*Wild Indigo-matte midnight blue
*Black Orchid-matte jet black
*Delphinium-cool vibrant blue
*Fresh Plum-cool rich eggplant

The picture is showing a swatch of my favorite shade #910 Sepia

I highly recommend Aveda's Petal Essence Eye Definer for all skin types, and you can get them for $17.00 each online or at your closest Aveda store. This product has been Ophthalmologist-tested and the packaging has the FSC logo on it meaning it's in accordance with the rules of the forest stewardship council.

My Latest Favorite Lippie

Hello Beautiful,

My latest beauty product obsession is the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. I was working with another makeup artist (Kassie) the other day and I was loving her lip color. She told me that it was the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in shade Stockholm. This was the perfect nude lip shade that anyone with any skin type could use. These highly pigmented matte lip creams are neither a lipstick or a lip gloss, making these lip creams unique. They go on silky smooth and set to a matte finish, there are over 22 different shades to please any kind of ethnicity. The soft matte lip cream is durable, creamy and lightweight. The winner of Temptalia 2012 editor's choice awards you can find these lip creams in select drug stores like CVS and NYX online, prices ranging from $6.00 to $7.00. To get the best results apply a very moisturizing lip treatment like Philosophy hope in a tube eye and lip cream before application because the lip creams tend to dry out your lips. Apply the lip cream directly to the lips or over lipstick, and for a more defined look line your lips with a lipliner then apply the lip cream.

My top favorite shades:

*Addis Ababa-bright fuchsia
*Stockholm-muted rose
*Tokyo-baby pink
*Antwerp-coral

Aveda Petal Essence Face Accents

Hello Beautiful,

This weeks favorite beauty product is the Aveda Petal Essence Face Accents. As a freelance makeup artist for Aveda I am getting to know their line well. I'm very passionate about a lot of their products, but I just want to let you know that I will always stay true to myself and my beliefs when it comes to referring beauty products to you.  I've found that with every cosmetic line they have their are super-stars and no brand that I've come across in my 11 years of doing makeup have I found a cosmetic line that carries all super-stars. The reason why I choose to do Aveda's Petal Essence Face Accents is because they are AMAZING!!! The Face Accents are tri-colored palettes meaning that one palette has it's own bronze, highlight, and flush/blush all in one. These flower-based face powder's come in 6 different shades and are long wearing, blend and build able. I feel that I'm reaching for the Face Accents more and more because with the tri-colored palettes it adds more dimension to the face unlike one shade blushes that just give you a sold color effect. I'm a sufferer of Rosacea on my cheeks so I'm very careful to only use products that are Talc and Mineral Oil free like the Aveda Face Accents. They are also infused with aromatic florals including soothing certified organic lavender.

My top 3 favorites are:

*Bronze Glow-great for an all over glow....focus color on nose, forehead, chin and cheeks

*Peach Lights-for a warm accent of color

*Plum Touch-great for a nice rosy glow

Other great face accents:

*Tesserae-fair to medium skin

*Apricot Whisper-fair to medium skin

*Rose Blossom-medium to dark skin

The reason why I'm not swatching all of the different shades on my arm is because I have fair skin and the shades would look differently on me as they would on a dark skin type person. I will be taking pictures of clients as I freelance for Aveda so you can see them on all different types of skin. I highly recommend ALL of the Aveda Petal Essence Face Accent Palettes, they are $24.00 each and you can purchase them online or at your closest Aveda store. The packaging is in 100% post-consumer recycled (PCR) clam shell and paper sleeve.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara and Subversion Eyelash Base

Hello Gorgeous Viewing Beauty Blogger's

As a beauty product reviewer I try almost everything that comes out new in beauty cosmetics both high end and Drugstore brands. I'm going to review the new Urban Decay Perversion Mascara and Subversion Eyelash Base. This review is going to give you my Pro's and Con's on this new Urban Decay product.

Pro's
*Intense black pigmentation
*Ultra creamy
*Lengthens and volumes lashes
*The mascara wand was very good for this mascara formulation
*Contains Hairdensyl that stimulates lash growth

Con's
*Application to lashes is very wet and it takes a minute or two to dry
*Flakes, smudges and raccoons within a two hour time period

Why I was excited to try the new Urban Decay Perversion Mascara and Subversion eyelash base is that it can be layered. I was not impressed by this product and I returned it back to the store within a week of trying it. I thought that the Subversion eyelash base was good but not great.

Thank You very much for taking time to read my beauty blog! If you have any comments, questions, or you would like me to do a beauty product review please leave a comment in the box below.

Aveda nourish-mint rehydrating lip glaze

Hello Beautiful,

This weeks blog is going to be about my favorite Aveda product, it's the nourish-mint rehydrating lip glaze. I have been loving this Aveda lip glaze for years, and I feel that it's one of the best on the market. The lip glaze comes in 15 different shades, and has a shade range from nude to bold making it great for all skin types. It's formulation is infused with plant emollients making your lips feel moisturized and plump helping to hide those fine lines that lips have. This lip glaze is also made with organic vanilla, pomegranate oil, and mint aroma making your lips feel and look amazing for hours. I like how the lip glaze applies to the lips, it goes on evenly not sticky like most other lip gloss products. The lip glaze has a satin shine finish and you can layer this over other lip colors for a more intense look.

My top seven favorite shades:

Fair skin

*Mango Juice-shimmery peach
*Agave Nectar-shimmery beige nude
*Pink Lotus-bright pink
*Rose Blush-rosy pink

Fair to Medium skin

*Cherry Blossom-blue based red
*Raspberry Tea-nude pink

Medium to Dark skin

*Morning Rose-deep rose
*Wineberry-shimmery plum

Dark skin

*Mangosteen-deep red-violet

I think that Aveda has done a great job with the nourish-mint rehydrating lip glaze shades and formulations. This power packed lip glaze is a regular staple in my professional makeup kit and I feel it's affordable at $18.00 each. I have repurchased this product many times and I highly recommend this rehydrating lip glaze to any of my makeup clients. Also, I like that Aveda is helping to save the environment by making the shell of the lip glaze out of 100% recycled news print.
